The Mortal Instruments

The Mortal Instruments Boxed Set: City of Bones; City of Ashes; City of Glass (Mortal Instruments, #1-3)The Mortal Instruments Boxed Set: City of Bones; City of Ashes; City of Glass by Cassandra Clare

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I found a great deal on this book set on amazon, so I decided to give it a try. I also read all the reviews for the three books, and those reviews gave me hope that I would like this series as well.
I loved it! It took me a while to get into it at first, and about half way through the second book, I needed to take a break, so it sat on my shelf staring at me for weeks.
Now I can't believe I didn't buy the fourth one!

The Tiny Seed

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

My kindergarten son brought this book home in a "gardening" literacy bag.
Besides The Hungry Caterpillar, I haven't read much else by Eric Carle.
Great book and illustrations.

Infestation: Outbreak!

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I received an advance reader's copy of this book from netgalley.

The illustrations were okay, as was the story line.

I thought the idea of it sounded a lot better than it actually was.

Soulless

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

If you enjoy a world filled with vampires, werewolves, ghosts, and other paranormal beings, then this book is for you.
I liked this book, and I will probably read the rest of the series in time.

Bearded Women

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received an advance reader's copy of this book from netgalley.

I couldn't wait to start reading this short story collection from people who would be freaks.

As with most collections, some of the short stories were amazing, while some didn't hold my interest for very long.

Blood Soaked and Contagious

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A book full of zombies and romance? Yes, please.

I love Frank's character, and his humor and snarkiness.

Remind me to set up shop in a hardware store when the zombie apocalypse happens.

Great book.

Growing Vegetable Soup

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

My son, who is in kindergarten, brought this book home in his "gardening" literacy bag.
He loved this book, it was an easy read, and I must have read it at least five times in the week that we had it.
