Deuce has always wanted to be a huntress, and she has been training for the role as a brat.
As a hunttress, her roles are to feed the brats and other people of the enclave, and to protect them from the dangers around them. There are strange beings in the tunnels with them, some sort of undead creatures they have named the "freaks".
I enjoyed this book, and I will gladly read more of the series.
